Central Coast

Central Coast

Life on the Central Coast.

The Central Coast is the stretch of coastline Sydney always wishes it had kept for itself: ninety minutes north, a chain of surf beaches and quiet lagoons running from MacMasters Beach up past Terrigal to Wamberal, with Brisbane Water and the bush plateau at its back. It holds a rare mix all at once. Beach villages, commuter suburbs on the train line, acreage in the valleys behind Somersby and Mount White. People come up for a summer week and end up settling, and the ones who grew up here rarely leave for long.
